Freshing up my favourite concert [2]
Hi everyone! In today’s post, I’ll comment about the –absolutely– best
concert of my life (despite the fact that I’ve gone only to a few more).
As I said above, in my entire life, I’ve gone to a few numbers of
concerts. Barely two of them paid, the vast amount has been free. I don’t
remember so much about the free ones, as generally I go because is free, and no
because I’m a very big fan of the artists, like the paid ones.
For me it’s unforgettable my very first concert, Los Bunkers launching
their CD “La velocidad de la luz” at 2013, when I was 13 y.o., principally
because they are a band that I absolutely love, ‘cause it was the first one,
and at the same time it was the last one of the band to the date (Bunkers come
back pls).
But the concert that win the prize for best concert ever, goes
to...

| Paul McCartney’s Freshen Up Tour 💗 |
This
beautiful concert was in the same year I’m writing this post, 2019.
Specifically on March 20th, in the National Stadium located in Ñuñoa
(where the national selection of football plays, I’m sure y’know what it is).
I think this
man needs no presentation, but just in case you are living under a rock and you
don’t know who he is, Paul McCartney is a beatle. Yes, from The Beatles, the
most important band of the history (And if you don’t think the same, we can
fight right now). You may know him as the beatle accused to be a fake Paul,
replacing the original after his unexpected death (?. After the guys from
Liverpool dissolved, he formed a band called Wings and also continued
a solo career.
In this
tour, he was promoting his album Egypt Station, but that doesn’t restrict the
songs. In the setlist (I learned it before the concert) there were songs from
his beatle period, his Wings period, and his solo albums (like the one he was
promoting).
A Hard Day's Night, the opening song.
I went to
this event with my friend called Sebastian, Larry for the friends (A nickname
not related to his intelligence btw), a big fan too. We went with so much time
of anticipation, something like 3 hours before it started (8 P.M. officially,
but it really started near 9 P.M.). We waited for an hour to enter to the
stadium, and two hours more inside (that wasn’t nice, we were being roasted
alive).

But the
waiting was worth it. The atmosphere was unique. We were ahead, at the limit
where not-V.I.P people can stay. I remember seeing people of all ages: families
with children, old people, teens. That was awesome. Paul is present in the life of
people of different generations.
Of course,
the presentation was incredible. I sang out loud all the songs I could. I
enjoyed all the songs, but I specially loved Something and Helter Skelter.
Something in fact is a George Harrison's song, but Paul sang it as a tribute. Very beautiful:

| Hey Jude moment |
I consider this concert my favourite because, besides the quality of the show itself, it has a emotional meaning to me. Seeing Paul alive, a beatle alive, is something infinitely magical. A magical
moment of my life.
I want to finish this post with a anecdote. The president, Sebastián Piñera, assisted to the concert. When Paul paused to greet him, all the people booed Mr. Piñi. Paul's reaction was really funny, as he seemed to be a little scared of the situation.

So, as you
can notice, my first two posts are beatle-related (not intentionally, oc). I
hope the next topic will be something different. See you in 2 weeks!

You really are very passionate about writing I love it, and you are also very lucky to have gone to a concert of that level.
ResponderEliminarpd: nice picture with your friend.😍
I'm very lucky for other reasons too 🙄
